These are the more extensive service intervals
If you are following your vehicle manufacturer's recommended maintenance schedule, eventually you might encounter service procedures considerably exceeding the oil and filter change. In Land Rover scheduled maintenance you will eventually find that all the drivetrain lubricants, brake fluid and coolant are replaced; you will see that all the filters are periodically changed; spark plugs eventually are replaced. The frequency of recommended replacement varies with the model and year of your vehicle. Completing a major service can easily take an experienced technician an entire day (sometimes two, depending on the vehicle and condition).
Because of the timing of these services and extent of the inspections, it is common to result in a list of recomended additional services or repairs. Examples might include brake services, fluid leak repairs, light bulb replacement or repair, tie rod ends, ball joints, suspension bushings, alignments, tire replacements, exhaust repair.
